Chess Engineering is an ISO 9001:2008 accredited company with a strong commitment to quality management. A quality manager is dedicated to overseeing its operational procedures and ensuring that quality management is managed throughout all of its projects.
Chess’ ongoing commitment to quality has helped identify and eliminate defects during the manufacturing processes and has set the course towards a target of 100% conformance.
The quality management systems used at Chess are critical and a major part of its operations. All jobs have a suite of documents including a work instruction sheet (WIS) which details all the steps involved in the job, manufacturing specifications and quality inspections required. Each step is signed off by the job supervisor and recorded in the computerised operations system. This approach to quality enables Chess Project Managers to trace job progress and keep customers updated.
