Chess Flameproof is a division of Chess Industries which specialises in flameproofing - the conversion of mobile materials handling equipment for use in hazardous areas. We supply, manufacture and install a wide range of products from warning lights to complete vehicle and equipment installations, all to the customer’s specifications and in accordance with the relevant standards.

Chess provides a complete service from initial and ongoing consultation and equipment design through to the finished product according to end user criteria. However it does not end here, Chess offers on-going periodic inspections to verify the products continued compliance.

Chess Flameproof has been providing services across a wide variety of industries including defence,
off-shore oil extraction, paint and chemical manufacturing, food and pharmaceutical sectors since the early 1970s and has gained an enviable reputation for expertise, reliability and customer service.

We are located in Padstow, Sydney, on our own site with over one hectare of undercover engineering capacity.
