THE ONE-STOP SHOP APPROACH

ADVANTAGES FOR BUSINESS

Are you able to excel in what you do the best? If you are like most business leaders, you are passionate about your work and core business operations. When you need to deliver a business related project that is not solely your company’s speciality, there are many business benefits of having a one-stop shop supplier to manage the entire end-to-end solution.

Contracting services to different vendors can increase your hassles and is time consuming. Managing multiple vendors, multiple invoices, and multiple points of contacts will take you on an entirely different tangent.

Now, consider the benefits of having just one vendor that will provide a full suite of services, and allow you time to retain focus on your mission and bottom line.

Chess is a one-stop shop engineering company, from concept, design and drafting to machining / fabricating, painting, fitting, installation and commission. The cost savings for using a full service engineering supplier can be significant, and the consistency of service and convenience make good business sense.

Chess’ end-to-end service capabilities are being utilised on a current project with A2 Dairy Products Australia Pty Ltd. Sales of a2 Milk™ have increased steeply in the last two years, as consumers’ awareness of its benefit grows. a2 Milk™ is a niche product made with milk from cows specially selected to produce A2 beta-casein protein rather than A1.

A2 Dairy Products Australia Pty Ltd is building a brand new processing facility in Smeaton Grange, South West Sydney, which is due to open February 2012. The company engaged Chess Engineering earlier this year to manage its entire engineering solution for its services system. The services system is the backbone of the milk plant and includes services of compressed air, chilled glycol, and hot and process water which are essential for pasteurisation, equipment cleaning and storage.

“Chess has undertaken an engineering design and consultancy role. We’ve managed concept to detailed design and specification, quoting, manufacture of pipe racks, storage tanks, platforms and bases, coordination of tenders and installation of equipment, liaison with builders and suppliers, commission and total project management. Installation commenced in October and commissioning is expected late January,” says Emad Yacoub, Project Manager, Chess Engineering.

“It is something of a cliché, but the ‘one-stop shop’ that Chess Engineering was able to offer simplified the management of the project considerably and made the entire process smooth and painless,” says Andrew Harris, Operations Manager, A2 Dairy Products Australia.
