After working
with this glass manufacturers for some 35 years,
Chess Engineering again finds itself undertaking
some major works in Sydney. Regularly upgrading
existing equipment, improves efficiency and competitiveness.
Chess has designed, constructed, and fitted bottle
conveyors systems, which includes accumulation tables
and lehr sprayers. This is the sort of work we are
well used to according to George Yacoubian, Chess’s
key coordinator on the project who originally came
to Chess from the glass industry.
George’s role is broad, after discussing
the outline with the customer, he then prepares
the quote
for submission to them. Once the quote is accepted,
he goes into drawing mode to prepare detailed Autocad
Drawings. For the next stage, George will ensure
parts and materials are ordered in advance, then
he’ll
go to the site for dismantling, followed by site
construction supervision.
George enjoys his work associated with this well
known australian glass manufacturer, as they are
a progressive
company as well as a market leader, he says. He
also likes the fact that he has excellent knowledge
of
their industry. This is another
example of close working partners.
