Chess has built a new mixing plant for shampoo and conditioner products for this customer consisting of a mild steel structure, the plant is fitted with 5 mm stainless steel tread plate, coved at the walls for hygiene.

The design and construction was to support four large tanks and a computerised control room. It also had to meet stringent food industry standards for hygiene. The tanks were designed to be able to handle the mixing of 3000 kgs of raw materials.

What made this job challenging, was its size and weight 15 tonnes . Built in two sections with an overall dimensions of approx 12m by 6m, it was squeezed through some areas of the factory with the aid of cranes and forklifts with barely 50 mm clearance on either side. When finally in their correct location the construction was completed on site.
