Workplace accidents are costly, preventable, and unacceptable in today's work environment. Chess Engineering is committed to an accident free environment and to the goal of eliminating all workplace injuries and illnesses. This goal can only be achieved through continuous, systematic improvement of Chess Engineering’s Safety Management systems, by reducing hazards and by modifying unsafe behaviour.  To this end, productivity bonuses are linked to accident and injury reduction.

Even the most minor injuries are recorded and accident statistics are monitored monthly by the safety committee. Causes are identified and action is taken to reduce or eliminate the hazard as appropriate.
